The ROM upgrade is only applicable to older model printers (UP Plus and UP Mini) and the older version of software "UP! 2.x.x", and WILL NOT work with later printers (UP Box/+, UP Plus 2, UP Mini 2) and/or the latest version of software as it does not have a System folder.


Open the (Won't work with UP Studio) Windows UP! software go to:

  • Click  Help-> About UP to view the current ROM version. (Ignore the firmware version)
  • Click Tools-> Update ROM

  • The ROM files are located in your UP software folder under: C:\Program Files (x86)\UP\System

  • Select appropriate ROM
  • Follow on screen instructions


Please note this only applies to Windows users, Mac users are not required to perform the ROM upgrade.
